Once connected to network card, router stops working; can ping router, not to outside world I have an Inspiron 8100 and have seen this problem with both D Link and Linksys products. If I connect my computer to the router via the LAN connection, either router will work.

Unable to access the router’s web-based setup page The Linksys router’s web-based setup page can be accessed using a wired or wireless computer. To do this, enter the router’s default IP Address “192.168.1.1” in your web browser’s address bar. A user login will then appear asking you to enter a username and password. 2.4Ghz stops working, 5Ghz fine. - NETGEAR Communities Re: 2.4Ghz stops working, 5Ghz fine. I've been on firmware V1.0.9.18_1.2.27 for less than 24 hours now and I've already had to reboot my router twice due to 2.4G clients losing connectivity. It seems that the same issue remains and the newest version of the firmware has not resolved that specific problem. Internet Stopped Working - Xfinity Help and Support Forums Dec 26, 2019

Re: 2.4Ghz stops working, 5Ghz fine. I reverted back to the older firmware, which seemed to fix my issues at least for the following 24 hours that I continued to use the R7000. With the more recent firmwares, I could not go more than 4-5 hours without the 2.4ghz failing on me, and having to reboot the router.

I have an WRT1900ACS and for the past few weeks I have noticed that the 2.4 ghz wifi stops working so no devices can connect to that band at all even after a restart but it will start working again after some time has passed whilst the 5 ghz is unafffected and works seemslessly and is very stable. T
